Build Your Logic Model
Build a Program Logic Model
Funders love them. Staff usually dread them. But the truth is a good logic model can actually make your life easier. Instead of another confusing chart full of arrows and jargon, think of it as your program’s story, organized in a way that everyone (yes, everyone) can understand.
In this 3-week guided sprint, we’ll work together to design a custom logic model for your program. You’ll leave with a tool that clearly shows how your work leads to change, is easy to explain to stakeholders, and actually supports decision-making instead of gathering dust in a binder.
By the end of the course, you’ll have:
A complete, funder-ready logic model built for your program
Clarity on how your activities connect to outputs, outcomes, and impact
A shared language your team can use to describe your program’s goals and results
Practical tips for using your logic model in reporting, planning, and evaluation
The confidence to answer, “Do you have a logic model?” with a proud yes (and maybe even a smile)
Over four weeks, we’ll cover:
Week 1 – Logic Models, Demystified: What they are, what they’re not, and why they matter
Week 2 – Building Blocks to Outcomes: Mapping inputs, activities, outputs, and outcomes into a clear framework
Week 3 – Outcomes, Impact, and Indicators: Connecting activities to meaningful change
Week 4 - From Model to Practice: Finalizing your logic model and learning how to use it for funding, planning, and storytelling
Each week includes a live session (recorded if you miss it), practical worksheets, and guided exercises to keep things simple and doable.
Who this is for
This sprint is for programs that need a clear, funder-friendly way to describe what they do and why it matters. Whether for a grant application, a new program launch, or to get everyone on the same page internally, a logic model has multiple uses for program managers, directors, and “accidental evaluators” who need a logic model to ground their work.
